Committees

Under the guidance of the RPCA Board of Directors, sub committees exist to provide detailed organization and planning for a variety of areas necessary to the effective operations of the programs and services at Hillcrest Centre. All committees operate under an agreed terms of reference.

Responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating Board of Parks and Recreation support and policies concerning the delivery of programming to the community and to perform related tasks as directed by the Association Board.

All committees submit monthly and annual reports to the Board of Directors outlining the management, planning and strategies relevant to their committee.

Committees are made up of volunteers and are primarily comprised of active members of the RPCA Board of Directors.

Communities at Hillcrest Centre

Program Committee

Responsibilities: Recommending and reviewing programs, interpreting input from community members and organizing special events.

Communications Committee

Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of communication from the website and quarterly brochure of programs to ads, signage, branding and posters. Also included is the collection and analysis of data reflecting the voice and demographic of the surrounding community and to make recommendations to the Assocation Board.

Rink, Pool & Fitness Committee

Responsibilities: Advising the Board of Directors on matters concerning the operation of the Rink, Pool & Fitness Centre in the Recreation Complex.  To make recommendations to the Association Board on all aspects of operation and usage by community groups.

Strategic Committee
